The Da Vinci Code

We finally saw it last night.

I heard from a few people who had read the book that they did not like the movie. But that's always the case when you read a book and then see the movie! At first I hated Angela's Ashes and Great Expectations because I had read the books. Anyway, having never read the Da Vinci Code book, we liked the movie and we recommend it.

Between the baby (24 hrs) and Matt's overtime (nights) and CGA (weekends), we have hardly watched any movies in the last year. Serously, I can only think of a couple! But Matt finishes his CGA in December and Angelina goes to bed at 8:00 every night, so we are looking forward to getting caught up, 'cause we loooove movies. Can anyone recommend some good ones?

Hey guys!
Just wanting to let you know that I have been a little scarce and will be for the next little while because things are hectic in my life right now!

First off I had to write 10 essays this semester. Well 4 left. And I am in the process of packing. Me and Greg are moving into a townhouse on Middleton mountain :) I am SO excited about this because Vernon is a dump and we haven't been able to find any decent place for months and months. We are getting the keys to move in this weekend coming up! And I work the next two nights and then we're going to Just for Laughs Comedy night on Thursday! Plus, my exams are going to start in a few weeks and I have 7 of them!! I'm just not sure when all the stuff is going to get done! We are going to have a housewarming party probably on the 15th or 16th of December. Coming?

Where abouts are you living now, Keira? Do you want to get together soon? My gmail works now - robyngordon83@gmail.com. I don't know what was wrong with it before. It seems like everyone is moving nowadays!

Yes, Keira I am a crazy prepared person and I started Christmas shopping 2 weeks ago...I am done 5 people and started 2..... Yay!!

Other than that jusy busy with work and Lee...We're doing great - It's out 5 months next weekend...crazy eh?? He's been staying with me every weekend for the last month...and we've actual talked about moving in together, "rings", and kids...wow who would of thought...haha...Key don't get too excited!

Actually, she liked them. She just always makes weird faces when she tries a new food!

Angelina started eating like a champ when she was 4.5 months old, but the last few weeks she has refused to eat a bite! I don't know what's going on but she is finally coming around. Good thing, becuase she needs more than milk at this point. Also, she has five teeth! Most babies her age seem to have no teeth or they're just getting the bottom two. My poor baby, they hurt her! Also now she has started grinding them together which makes me cringe.

With her eating and becoming more calm lately I am excited about going back to work. She's not ready just yet, but hopefully soon. I'm looking for something part-time, low stress for now.

We bought a really fantastic, huge dining room set. It's pub-style with high seats and dark wood. It's really classy and I love it!

I can't stop thinking about Christmas. Has anyone started shopping yet?

where to start!?

well lots has happend within the last couple of days.. its kinda crazy. And very exciting and intimdating. I have a very good new job. my new title is Executive vocational trainer. I will be teaching a class of mentally disabled women life skill, for example. Computers, resumes, money management, canadina studdies and also will be helping the women start a small fundraising business to raise money for functions like camping and hiking and stuff like that.
So yeah its a well paying job and lets me have the afternoons off for classes. I start at 7am and go to 3 mon to fri.. I think this will be the first job that I have been able to have weekends off.
Also we have bought some new funiture! pretty sweet shit too. (for us) its retro 1950s.. but very funky and cool. the back of the couch pulls down to make a double bed.. its the weirdest thing I have ever seen. We also are buying a very old wraught iron bed frame... it even has lichen on it. (it has a clear coat over so I wont have weird shit falling on me while I sleep). but yeah... Ooooh and a full sized portable dishwasher... if you know anyone that wants to buy a countertop dishwasher in Vancouver let me know.. it comes with a sweet stand.. I dont' know what it looks like in town, but this place is covered in snow. Good thing we are moving tomorrow!

I could not find a costume or even a hat for Hailey. Has she got one yet? The only thing I could suggest is little headband/wing/tail sets at Shoppers or Claire's.

Needles are my phobia too. That was one small part of the horrors of labour. The nurse fucked up my IV so many times that even she flipped out and had to leave the room. There was also a bloodtest, a freezing needle and a needle in my spine. That's a lot of needles all in a short time. Then more bloodtests the next day in the ER. Anyway I got kinda used to them so now I only slightly hyperventillate when I have to get one! What I'm trying to say is: to get over your fear of needles, have a baby. Just kidding.

I am in class right now, but we're watching a disgusting movie about making "perfect babies" but there are SO many needles shown in it! If anyone doesn't know, that is my almost phobia... of gross needles... ugh, whether they are long or short, I still hate them LOL.

What are you dressing Gina up as? Are you guys doing trick-or-treating? It's a REALLY good way to show her off! Oooh and of course get yourself a couple pillow cases full of candy! I was thinking about using Hailey for this ;) Did you find any small enough costumes for Hailey at Toadstool, Keira? Thanks so much for looking.

Hailey is over 7 lbs now :D YAY! Hehe... she is still so little. She turns 3 months old tomorrow!!

I did find Angelina a baby Halloween costume and it is so fucking cute! If anyone else is looking they should go to Second Street in Vernon, where there are lots of cute warm furry costumes for $13! They're too big for Hailey unfortunately. M and I are going to Kelowna tomorrow and I'll see if Toadstool has any hats with ears 'cause that might be all she can fit. Does Hailey have a tiny head?

Angelina weighs 15 pounds now and has two teeth. We bought her a highchair so she can eat dinner with us at the table now! She is such a sweet little munchkin!
