The Mother Load

"The [mother] began to belch out flames and burn bright homesteads; there was a hot glow that scared everyone, for the vile sky-winger would leave nothing alive in her wake." ( Beowulf)

Yesterday my mother told me that she thinks she should walk me down the aisle.

Later, Matt's mother called him. she asked if we would postpone the wedding; when Matt gets married he will no longer be on her dental plan, so maybe he should get some dental work done first.

I was just wondering, Why is it neccesary that you have to get all the guys and girls flower thingies?? maybe to cut on costs you could have each brides maid hold a single flower and the groomsmen get nothing?? stride away from tradition just a little bit. It will save you a lot of money so you have more to spen on your honeymoon.

Oh dude, I was never planning to buy $60 pocket-flowers. My plan is for the bridesmaids to hold just a flower or two, then put them on the dinner tables. You know, kill two birds. No reason to spend a fortune on something so silly.

Key - remember to stay strong- Mothers can be frustrating...and with the dental plan....3 months to get pretty teeth and then I'm sure you'll get a plan within the year before your next appointment.

Bridemaids flowers - good idea with only having them only have a few flowers and then using them with the old books as centerpieces...are you still doing the book theme? What is your idea for the men...still the pocket-flowers....if you buy 3 normal roses...it's really easy to make them on your own...waaay cheaper than $60/each

I wasn't worried about Matt getting pretty teeth. PS he has perfect teeth. The point is, she could have nagged him about the dentist earlier. What's more, Matt will be working for a top accounting firm this fall and will have his own dental plan. She just wanted to be a bitch and insult us by suggesting that our wedding plans were disposeable.
