I'm Alive!

Hello Everyone....
Wow, I'm glad to see that everyone has been blogging like crazy...I have to admit that I have been reading the blogs a least once a week just haven't had the time to blog myself until today.
Dave & Nolan - Great to hear from you both!
Melissa - Kaidyn is growing up so fast and is more beautiful than ever!
Key - hey stranger....its been a long time since we talked last.....you're huge! haha! Glad to hear that things are still going smoothly and that you'll have little Angelina any day now (my bets are on May 1st). Call me sometime and we'll catch up.
Sammi & Ang - Hey girlies glad to hear things are going good for you both

Nothing really exciting to report with my life....work is extremely busy and life has been really hard for me over the last two weeks (thanks Erin for your support). I'm looking forward to the summer where I can go on holidays and put reality behind me for a few weeks. Anyways I have to make this a short blog I have a ton of errands to do today and it's already 12:45pm.

Best wishes to everyone, keep blogging and staying in touch.

Love Sam.

Poker and Labour

Pub Poker: until recently the local pubs held Texas Hold'em games. They were free to enter and the house put up a non-cash prize; i.e. it was legal, not gambling. The gaming comission shut this down a few weeks ago; I heard it was becuase of some bullshit about taking business away from the casinos. Where do you play poker Dave?

At the doc's yesterday I was too far along to be induced (fuck). But Leia gave me some superstrong medicine stuff and I have been having contractions all day, more than ever before. Today might be the day. I'm not even that psyched becuase I say that every day, but at least now things are really starting to roll. As usual, we'll just have to wait and see.

Did you get probed today Keira??

Sorry... Induced.....??? Will we meet her this weekend???

In a nutshell

Yes, I do feel quite the fool... sorry for the confusion.

Hello everyone. I have little to report about myself... I've been mostly working, eating, sleeping and playing poker when I have some free time. (Incidently, what is pub-poker?)

I'm going to vegas at the end of May. I've never been, so I'm excited.

I may take some school when I get back. I'm not looking forward to it, but Overwaitea pays for it, so I should take advantage.

Other than that, it's status quo. Hopefully, I'll find my way out there for a visit sometime soon.

Talk to you later.

April Fools?

Maybe we're not the only ones going crazy! Now I understand the recent rash of phone calls asking if I have had the baby. Erin and Sam both asked Bill, and then Bill thought she was born, and my parents have been phoning too. Every time I answer the phone, I hear "oh, you're not at the hospital". Yeah, I know! Soon, soon soon we hope!

Thursday is April 27, the much-predicted date of arrival. It started with Matt Keough and next thing I knew my mother-in-law heard it from Rob... small world! If she's not here by Thursday my doc is going to sort of naturally induce me. So we expect a baby by this weekend, keep your fingers crossed!

So for now, I can only show you the baby via my belly.

PS Hi Dave!

Hahahahaha

I was laughing my butt off reading the last few posts about everyone's reaction to Dave thinking Ang was talking about Kiera having the baby. Dave...nice. Great to hear from you though. How is it going for you lately? It's crazy busy at work, but I like the money. Melissa and Matt, your little girl is soooo cute.

Keep up the entertainment everyone,
Sammi

More Kaidyn Pics from Easter!!!

Whoa!!!...

Sorry guy's, didn't mean to stir a commotion!!

"show me the money!!"...... ("show me the baby!!!")

:) as far as I know, I havn't heard anything and Keira is still wishing she was going into labour.

AHHHHHHHHHH WHAT?????????

KEIRA? BABY? NOW?

Ignore me, I know nothing...

Opps... Maybe I shouldn't just make crazy assumtions, because I don't actually know anything... I just realised that other post could have been about some other baby or she could have been expressing her desire for the baby to be born soon ... or something else entirely... just ignore me.

THE BABY IS HERE?????

what? did keira have Angelina???? HELLOOOOO..................

I would write more, but I'm supposed to be working

Hey, I guess that last post means the baby is out... Congradulations!
I hope everything went well. I'll call soon.

me, myself, and I

Hey Robin,

I was planning to go to Nova Scotia and the islands by myself, unless someone spoke up and wanted to join me. I'm easy to get along with. I'm still looking into it. I received an e-mail from my friend that is getting married, and the wedding is off. Ava has already returned home, and Mike is going to give me the full story when I see him next time. He said that he knew it wasn't going to happen when he saw me, but they were still trying to work things out. Too bad.

That it's for now,
Sammi

The Islands, school, the future, and the like

Hey all :)
First off, Sammi, take it from someone who has travelled across Canada a few times, Nova Scotia is the best place in Canada, I thought anyway. BY FAR! It has so much to offer. I'm sure that you have been doing your research and all, but when I have a bit more time starting on Sunday, I will write more about my adventures there. And PEI and Newfoundland are great as well, if you like fresh seafood that is. LOL they LOVE to eat fish and seafood. Almost all restaurants have huge signs for fresh seafood, caught right out the front door!! Quebec is awesome too, if you have ever thought of that trip. But I think the islands are the best choice, it will be so much fun. Who are you thinking of taking that trip with now?

And just to let you know, taking summer classes by distance ed doesn't mean that I can't go travelling. They end in October, and I already have to be back from whatever trip I decide to take by September to go back to school full time anyway. But my trip is going to have to be shortened to a few weeks or a month or something though, cause guess what?! I am starting psychology research in my field starting in May. We are just running through a few research projects, recruiting volunteers (*wink wink, nudge nudge*) and stuff during the summer that lead up to our HUGE psychology research project beginning in Sept and going thruout the school year. This is going to be HUGE for my future career in psych because I am forced to publish 3 psych articles about these findings for psych journals!! YAY!! LOL

I was surprised about Nolan being able to catch up on all this blog news so quickly too.

Any baby yet Keira???

Very Interesting...

So, what I have picked up from the current readings of the Sugarbaby blog is...
Robin is going to continue with school this summer instead of going on a trip. Nolan was caught up on the sugarbaby news in one sitting (that's a lot of reading).
Erin will have a lot more time to spent with her niece and 2nd cousin in a couple of weeks.
All the pub pokers were shut down...interesting? Keira, did you get anymore information as to why? I may have to stop into Sir Winnies and talk to Jeff. Which I don't mind doing because Jeff is a cutie.
I have been busy with work, the gym, going for walks outdoors with Ang (and sometimes Dave, Bryce, and Isaac), and my health. I am doing a partial brown rice cleanse right now. I say partial because I cheat once a day by having something somewhat healthy but not on the cleanse. I don't know if I ate the wrong something last night, but I woke up at 4:00 am with the worst tummy pain. I will spare everyone details of the next hour. I was very weak, clammy, and white as a ghost...I was not doing well. I think today I will relax and not push my body by going to the gym. The next two days I'm working full days, and I don't want miss the money grab by having to call in sick.
I was going to go to Oz in July, but my friend Sarah was not able to get the time off. Plus she would only be able to get two weeks off and that's not enough time for such a long flight. I was thinking of going East and exploring Nova Scotia, NewFoundland, and PEI. I could take a flight to Nova Scotia, rent a car or van, and drive to the islands. Dad says, "Nova Scotia, NewFoundland, and PEI are all connected by bridges or ferries."
I also applied for the business degree at Okanagan College on Tuesday. I want to get into Human Resources; there are couple fields to look into with Human Resources. I am very interested with the employee morale.
Anyway, I'm going to go and look at the websites for newfoundland, nova scotia, and PEI. Read about everyone later,

- Sammi

So soon :)

Heya!
I'm sorry to hear that you are so anxious Keira, but it is all going to be worth it. I am totally crossing my fingers that this baby comes this week, the sooner the better :) I can't wait!!! I'm sure you guys can't either. YAY!!!

Things are going alright here. Things have been hectic with school lately. I have an exam coming up on Saturday, and then it's all over... for a few weeks LOL. I am taking two distance ed summer classes. They both sound SO interesting. One is Health Psych (this one would REALLY interest you Keira) and Biomedical Ethics. It sounds like a brutal class, but very cool.

I hope all is well with the rest of you.

The Waiting Game

I'm totally ready to have this baby as of last week (I won't go into physical details) but it's not happening yet... and I'm going bonkers. I am still getting contractions all the time, they are just not regular enough to be actual labour (and it has been weeks!)

I don't have any pictures. I'll try to remember to nag Matt to take one tonight when he gets home. That is, if we're not already at the hospital having the baby! I hope I hope...

An interesting thing happened last week: all pub poker was shut down.

PS Erin you never tell us how you're doing either!

Hellooo??? where is everyone???

Ang

Okay I have some officiant info for you... but I'll have to blog later as I'm on my way out the door again.

Happy Birthday Kirsten!

It was yesterday, April 8. Hope it was lots of fun! You old fart!

hmmm

ya, i thought yours did both though Keira... We don't care if it is a man or a woman, and we would like a couple prayers, ect. but would like to write, or find our own vows and don't want it tooo 'religious'. I found a list on the internet but still have to phone them... what all do you ask them besides where, how much, and when??

Revs/JPs

We've been asked before to refer our "non-religious" officiant. It's astounding to us, since we had a Christian ceremony. The Reverend wore a robe, told a story from the bible, blessed our marriage, and we all said prayers. Does anyone remember our wedding??

A non-religious officiant (JP) will cost about $100 I have been told. I have been to a couple JP weddings recently and the ceremony can vary alot. Do you have any preferences? Like man vs. woman, concise vs. lots of poems and readings?

Florence Lynch

Hey Ang. I see that you need someone to do you wedding and I have someone for you. She did my wedding and she is awsome. Really really great. I think you should call her and just see what she is about. She doesnèt bring in any religion and has nothign but beautiful stuff to day. she is a cute elderly women and great to work with. her number is 250-549-2352 . I would suggest her to every one. She is from Vernon and so it would work well since that is where the wedding is at. She drove down to Armstrong for our wedding. but yes. highly suggest her.
Kirsten

need help...

Well, we're looking to book an officiant this next week or so.... does anyone know of any good ones around?? (a comissioner, not a minister) I have a list... but don't know which of them is good. Keira... who was the guy you guy's had, how much did he cost... did you hear of any other ones that were recommended?

Argh

I swear that I will never be able to city drive. Today I was going to meet the comunity living supervisir and had an appointment at 4. I left at 2:30 to make sure that I get there ok. IÈm living in Delta and he was in Burnaby (not to far) and yeah.. I ended up at UBC.. NOT in Burnaby. I had to call the guy and get directions and he had to stay on the line with me and I was late for my apointment by 20 min. it was horrible.
But yeah I start my job soon and I am really excited. I met the resident of the house that I will be working at and they are all really neet. They were all born with specual needs and all need help in different ways. Its going to be really challenging and exciting too.
It has been beautiful here for the last couple of days. I am happy since I hate the rain and I hate rain on my glasses. I will be making enough with this job that i can get special contacts for my eyes. I can not believe how much this job pays since I donèt have any formal training. Ièm going to be doubling what I make now at COnvergys. We can afford to have our nifty little scooters. Drew and I are going in at the end of the month to get our motorbike licence and getting scooters that can go highway speeds! no more filling up the car for 50.00! but yeah thats about it.
I will keep in touch

Bubbys and Hubbys

I'm so f*ing excited too! I have been getting lots of contractions for the last five nights or so. They're not labour yet though, just practice. It will probably still be a few weeks, which is TORTURE.

I wish I could post the picture we have of her face (with her sweet fat cheeks) but it didn't turn out clearly and by the time I scan it no one will be able to decipher it.

We weren't able to finish up the baby prep on the weekend since Matt had to work the whole time. And nope, he's got nothing to do with tax season as some people have asked. People who deal with taxes are actually bookeepers.

Anyway we will do the baby/hospital preparation thing this weekend. I'll put a list of phone numbers in the hospital bag; don't worry, aunty Erin!

Matt K got a job at the spiffy new Kal Tire store in Vernon. Yay!

Lunch on Monday...

I have to work on Monday from 1:30 until 5:30 or 2:00 until 6:00, but this all depends on our lunch. Because I am doing Debbie a favour by coming into work tomorrow, I can have a bit of flexiblity. So if we can start earlier than later, that would be great. I'll call Keira tonight.
