Hey key, congrats! Yey! its a girl! oh how exciting!!!

well i hope all is well in everyone's world...just busy busy here working...sooo looking forward to christmas break from the bowling center and the salon...i get the 24th-28th off at the salon and i'm working on the 20th - 3rd at the bowlign center! YEY!!!

Some other great news!! Rob and i are FINALLY moving in together.....rob's boss owns a house that he is going to rent to us in central kelowna that he has Gutted completly down to the 2-by-4's and refinished with hardwood floors, brand spankin new kitchen with stainless steel appliances to boot! 2 bdrms, quite small but livable for hte 2 of us, still not completly finished but they have giving me a date as of the end of January so looks like i'll be moving ONCE again! i'm excited.....and we're still not sure what matt and melissa are doing...hahaha still undecided!

n e ways other than that if i dont get to post before christmas i wish everyone a GREAT HOLIDAY AND A HAPPY AND SAVE NEW YEARS!!!

Today we went to a poker game at Sir Winnie's. Matt had to talk me into it but it turned out that everyone was really nice and unintimidating. I placed second at my table and Matt placed first at his and won a prize. It was totally fun and we're going to keep going. It turns out all of the pubs do free prize tournaments, and the players can hook you up to private money games.

I was shopping on Dec 24th

Dec 17th is nothing...I had to buy my Dad's present in the morning of Dec 24th and then I had to work from 11:00am until 5:30pm. My sister screwed me by changing her mind about going in on a present for Dad. I had about a hour to shop for a gift, and I had no idea what I was going to get him. I ended up getting a wallet and mall gift certif. I was not too proud of that gift.

I am thinking about a truck stereo this year? My mom x-ed the skydiving idea and is now thinking about satalite radio. Hopefully we can figure this out before his b-day on the 10th and christmas.

I was in Kelowna but I hadn't got the blog about that book yet so I didn't see it. Oh well, I'll be back I'm sure, since Christmas shopping is better there. Me and Sammi went today but I only bought one present! One down, a million to go.

Robin, you are insanely cheerful. Sorry I didn't answer your question before: yes, we have had names picked out since almost the beginning of the pregnancy. We won't know whether we'll use the boy's name or the girl's name though, until 9 days from now. We think it's a girl, but everyone we know has been wrong about theirs. Yay, only 9 more days!

i was in chapters today and looked at the most amazing book! it's called "from conception to birth" i believe, and the pictures are amazing! it tells you all about, obviously, the stages from conception to birth how they grow and mature and what they're going through at each stage. and just the pictures are amazing enough! so go check it out. hahahha, i almost started crying because they're just so incredible.

Jingle All the Way

Ah, the days of splitting Christmas between two families were so nice. Now We have to divide it into three, and this morning I had to endure a big angry crying tantrum about it. The first of many, I expect. Oh, the magic of Christmas.

Other than that this should be a nice season. Last night Melissa and I went shopping and it was really fun. I bought some super cute maternity outfits. We have a fancy dinner Christmas party for Matt's work on Saturday, and then a Christmas/Birthday party on December 17, and they will both be a blast.

So far I have only bought a couple gifts but I know what most of the rest of them are going to be, so shopping should be pretty easy. Someone come shopping with me!

Sammi, you will be aunty Bo. Or Aunty Mimi. How about that?

Soon to be Winter in the Okanagan!!!

Tis snowing as i type!!! well just a little update on me....ha...

lets see......saturday night...car got broken into AGAIN....thats 2 times in less than a month....nothing was stolen once again, thank god......but shit man.....i've had to pay $500 on friggin vandalism within one month...i'm pissed!!!

i have this nasty cold that doens't seem to be getting better and i hate being sick and cant afford to be sick cause i cant miss work!

It's Officially Winter in Vancouver!

So this morning - 5:15am - I woke up to 4.5 inches of snow!! and it's still snowing!!

There isn't much new to report here. Matt is going to be in Kamloops Thursday and Friday for work and I have to spend a whole miserable night without him. I'm 16 weeks, 2 days pregnant now and Sammi took pictures last night. We sold Matt's car and we'll sell the other one and get a family car (4-door). Probably not until after Christmas though, since we'll be upgrading and 'tis the season to be broke!

Next week more exciting stuff will happen. And hopefully this weekend. Anyone want to have some fun?

Catching Up....

Well it's been forever since I blogged - glad to see that people are still using this as a source of communication. Nothing much is new with me I'm just getting over the flu; I was away from work sick in bed all last week and I also developed a viral infection that I am still fighting. Yuck! Work has been super busy even though I have cut down my hours from 10.5hrs/day(6:30-5) to 9.5hrs/day (7:15 - 4:45). I feel the 1 hour difference is making huge changes in my life though....I love it! For those who I haven't told yet I no longer have school to worry about as I temporarily dropped out at the beginning of October. I still have not decided if I am going to go back in January or ever for that matter and if I do if I will continue my current field (Child & Youth Counsillor) or try something new. The relief of not having school 2 -3 nights a week after working a full day is so fabulous...I feel as if I have a socail life again and according to Keira I've always had a busy social life so you can imagine it now- HA HA!

34 more days til Christmas!! or 33 more shopping days!! and 31 more days til I leave!! This may scare some people but I am feeling good about Christmas creeping up so soon. I am about 30% done my Christmas shopping and have started to figure out who I am mailing cards to etc. I think I am more nervous about going to my parents house in Medicine Hat, Alberta than I am of the actual shopping terror! *Laughs*. The coldest winter I have had was when I was 6 years old I think when me, my mom and dad went to Erin's place in Salmon Arm(remember Aunt Jo and Uncle Bo and everyone was there!!) Brrr!! I talked to my Mom on Saturday and it was already getting down to - 9 at night.....hmmm....anyone know where I can buy some muclucks and a parka!! I am excited about going to visit my Mom though....her and Bill (step-dad) have lived there for almost 7 years now and I have never gone to visit! Oooops!

Besides work, being sick and Christmas - I've just been hanging out with my friends, going out meeting new people (sorry no new guy yet Key - I'm still looking though), going to the pubs/bars, trying to get back into shape, going to kids bday parties, going to concerts/plays etc

Key - What's your new address and phone number etc?? How do you like the new place?? Are you feeling better? Which car broke down? I think it's time to sell them both and get yourself a reliable family car. Oh by the way I agree with Melissa you need to start taking pics of your belly and posting them too!

Melissa - You look so cute in your Halloween costume! How are you feeling lately?? Any new baby news to share on your dear little girl? What's your due date again? How's Matt?

Just thought I'd write a few things...

Matt and I had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and our doctor confirmed that everything looks just perfect from the ultrasound we had a couple weeks ago. And we heard little Kaidyn's heartbeat and it was 160!!!! So definitely a girl, if the ol' wive's tale is true.

Kiera you should definitely start taking pic's of your belly and posting them. I don't want to be the only one. I wanna see how you're growing!

Matt has Sat-Tues off, so we could come see your place probably Monday or Tuesday. I can't wait to see it! Oh and there's this really cute little store downtown Vernon, I don't know if you've seen it before. It's a used children's clothing store and they have some really cute stuff. We should go check it out!!!!

'Tis the Season

Expensive accidents: The computer was completely distroyed (we found out after an expensive repair bill) and the car broke down twice. The car was a minor electrical problem but we had to wait until Wednesday (yesterday) to get it fixed. Additional expenses: two rents, extra moving expenses, winter tires. Bah Humbug!

Pregnancy stuff: I was working too hard and got terrible cramps for a few days, plus extreme headaches. Also, we had to get up at 5:30 for the ultrasound.

Things can only get better, right? I'll email the new phone number to everyone.

News Since this Morning

I just got a job interview for Friday. No, I was not looking anymore; this is one I applied for a month ago. It's a five-month term and if it lasts exactly five months that's pushing the baby schedule, so we'll see. I'm just going to go in there with my big belly and my baby due date and see if it works for us and them. Anyway I've still got my other job.

Oh yeah, I just remembered I can't fit into any of my interview-type clothes anymore.

The Loooong Weekend

We're finally getting back into the swing of things after an extremely long and busy week. It wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't been plagued by expensive accidents and miserable pregnancy stuff.

Anyway enough complaining. Today is the first day that I'm home all or most of the day, so I'm getting the majority of the unpacking and organizing finished. The house should be presentable by this weekend.

Somebody call us, we could use a little fun.

BOTH Matts were slobbering drunk by the end, and oddly enough it seemed to help their game.

We're free on Friday nights now too, but unfortunately we can't have parties at the new place becuase it is is miserably un-soundproof.

Matt's car wouldn't start and we thought we were in for a giant expense, but it turned out that some dinky little part was unplugged and it took like a minute to fix (after towing the car to a shop).

I knew Matt (the cousin) would win!

I knew when I left Saturday night that Matt was catching up to Keira. Matt (the husband) was getting pretty drunk, and he was losing control of his betting abilities. What time did you four play until? It was fun on Saturday; too bad I always have to work on Sundays.

A Week in Breif

Well I am 14 weeks (3 months) pregnant today, which means the baby is the size of a lemon and has 1/2-inch hands and feet! Also s/he can make faces and do lots of other neat stuff.

On the weekend we had poker night with the cousin house (Matt, Melissa, Erin, Rob) and Sammi. Matt (Keough) kicked my butt right at the very end. I hope I can do that to him next weekend.

We'll live in the new house starting Saturday, so I spend my days organizing, downsizing and packing all our stuff.

20 Weeks and 6 days to be EXACT!!!

Here's Melissa at 20 weeks and 6 days! lol so pretty much 21 weeks....and i saw Keira and she's got a cute little ponch started as well so it wont be long till she can post pictures of her belly too! Yey!

p.s. We need to set up a poker night one of these saturday nights...i'm sooo up for learning!!!

The Checkup

I went to the doctor for "the big" checkup. The good news is, most things are perfect. I have a loud heart murmur though, and have to get a heart ultrasound to see why.

I heard the baby's heartbeat, and the doctor had to chase it down a bit becuase the baby was swimming around! The heart beats 140 bpm. Below 140 bpm is supposed to be a boy and above 140 is supposed to be a girl, so no hints there.

Here's our upcoming schedule:

Nov 12- Heart Ultrasound, moving
Nov 29- 4-month Doctor's appointment
Dec 15- Ultrasound... boy or girl?

We can't wait for that last one.

The News

Happy 12 weeks to the baby, who is now the size of a lime and now looks like a human, not an alien. This is the last week of the first trimester, and I could not be more happy about that! From now on I should get less sick, and soon I'll get the baby belly.

As far as what we are doing with our furniture we have most of it already spoken for, but we are very interested to know that M&M might want some. Soon we'll have it sorted out, we're waiting to hear back from various people who have dibs.

I am so excited to hear whether M&M are having a boy or a girl!

Yes, We Are Moving

I didn't want to move to Vernon, but the place we found is such a nice, safe neighborhood (out of town) and fabulous place that I'm actually looking forward to it. We'll move in mid-to-end November. The only problem is that the place is fully, and I mean fully, furnished so we have to get rid of most of our stuff very quickly. We'll also sell Matt's car as soon as we move.

My cousin went down to Mexico and found a husband who turned into a father very quickly. Although, I think my cousin went down with thoughts of being a mom and wanted a certain Mexican culture to be the other nationality. Poor Alex did know what he was getting himself into when he hooked up with my cousin. Anyway…I was told last night about my pregnancy from Ang. I wish I could have seen the look on my face. Unless my Biology textbook has a special power of teaching me about sexual reproduction and actually making it happen without my knowledge, I am baby-free. I do have a good little tune about Johnny, baby Ronnie, and meeee (out of tune-of course).
Have a great trip to Mexico. When are you leaving? Every time I ask someone about a piece of jewelry, the person got the jewelry from Mexico. Happy Shopping!!

I'm glad to hear everything is going well for you Sam. If you're coming down in February, we should try and get a sex toy party together. Ang and I went to a party two weeks ago, and Ang is having a party in November around her birthday. It was pretty fun actually. After Kiera’s bachelorette party, I think the group would be into a sex toy party. I’m sure everyone will get together and will see you when you’re down visiting in February either way.

I am so glad to know I will be seeing Keira's face, Matt's face, and the little baby's face (when he/she comes into the world) in the Okanagan for a couple more years! I want the three of you to have all the best where ever it may be, but I definitely am happier to have you guys around for a while longer. We have lots of fun.

Mexican Babies are Hairy Too

Haven't you noticed that almost every little Mexican baby is pretty much born with a dark mop on their head? Or maybe it's just me, but I've seen my share of Mexicans, they love to hang out in Utah and work minimum wage jobs. Okay I'm just kidding, I just had to write something now that I'm an official member, haha.

Matt accepted an Intermediate Accountant position with Kal Tire, and it's a good job, Congratulations Daddybear! So, we might move to Vernon, but will not be leaving the Okanagan for another year or two.

I said you need to have a baby with me in two years, for my second baby. Don't worry, Erin and Sam are under contract for the same deal. Maybe you three could form a support group.

We figured ideally you should meet your babydaddy by the end of this month so you have time to fall in love and get married. Robin, you can wait until January to bring home a Mexican, but you'll have to act fast when you pick one.

Babies Everywhere!

Yesterday Matt and I bought my very first maternity outfit. It was really fun, I tried it on with a strap-on belly and saw what I will look like in 3 months.

Also my cousin Matt and his girlfriend Melissa just annouced that they are four and a half months pregnant and due March 3rd! So the baby will have a same-age Keough cousin to play with after all. It's so exciting!

Happy Thanksgiving

The baby is 10 weeks old today, and over an inch long. If we had an ultrasound right now, we could see the arms and legs, or the whole baby, moving around. This week the baby gets its privates, and in two months or less we'll have an ultrasound and see if we have a girl or a boy!

Now that everyone knows we're pregnant, I'll revive this blog to update anyone who wants to read it.

We're almost 9 weeks pregnant, and I've already had an ultrasound, a doctor's appointment, and the dreaded blood tests. The due date is now May 8.

I also finished my Associate Arts degree and possibly my Business diploma, so now we're not stuck here in peanut-wage land. Matt is looking for a better job anywhere in Alberta or BC. We might go way North and have our baby in the snow. We might go to Calgary. Depending on the response from one company, we might even stay here. We'll soon see.

You'll Hate me...

I'd love to but I just can't do it; my Friday is too busy. I have a job interview in the morning and I'll be cooking and baking all day for my dad's big surprise birthday party, which I am organizing for that night.

Yes, we have been extremely busy. Every weekend from the beginning of the summer to the end of September has been/is booked up except for the September long weekend (is that next weekend?!) Matt's mom is trying to book us for that weekend. Let's all go camping, or have a party or or something! We haven't seen most of our friends for ages.

Busy Busy

Okay, if anyone here is interested, now the poker night is mentioned on Ang's blog.

We went camping at this really great place 10 minutes past the cabin, both for the group camping trip and then again for the bachelor/bachelorette party. I don't remember the name of the place but it is apparently just before Fintry Forestry site (or something). I finally got to see the infamous chinese restaurant.

I'm confused Sam... you're coming on the Friday now? Anyway you and your friend are more than welcome to stay here whichever nights that weekend. The following weekend we have exams to prepare for so visits will be scarce. But, then you'll be back in August for Operation Jack Attack. Anyway let me know what you're doing. And Erin let me know too; we should all get together.

Hey everyone!

Wow, it's been forever since I've blogged - Sorry! I read thru some of the recent blogs looks like you all are having a wonderful summer so far....Key or Ang where did you guys go camping??

Anyways just wanted to let everyone know that I will be up in Vernon soon - I am staying in Vernon at my Aunts on July 29th, then either at the family cabin or Key & Matt's on the 30th (Key- I'll e-mail you about this), On Sunday July 31st Key, Matt, my friend Veronika and myself are going on an awesome winery tour in Kelowna/Westbank (4 hours long woohoo!) and finally I will be staying at the family cabin on Okanagan Lake from Sun July 31st - Tuesday August 9th. I hope I can see the people the are related to me (and also anyone else if they want) during the time that I am there.

Long Time No Blog

Wow, it's been a long time since I blogged. It's been a crazy couple of weeks.

The last week has been really great. Thursday I did Kirsten's bridal shower and Kirsten and Drew's bachelor party. They were 80s theme and me, Kirsten and Amy got all decked out. Then Saturday was the wedding. It poured all morning but the wedding weather was fabulous. Everyone got along and mingled. We played the same icebreaker games as our wedding. We stayed at the motel in Armstrong and it was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in.

Robyn, I don't know all your friends, but I'm not surprised that you can't get a committment out of them this early. I don't know what to do but keep nagging.

This Saturday we still want to have poker night. More about that on the Friendship Orb Blog.

Aunty Laura, Erin's mom, has cancer and will begin staying in the Cancer Centre in Kelowna starting next week. We get regular updates from Erin and Uncle Mike. Everyone sends their best thoughts and prayers to Aunty Laura and the family.

Ahh, finally a solution to the picture problem. You see, there were so many photo cds (3 from the photographer plus one each from Erin, dad, A&B, K&D) that I didn't know how to distribute them.

Then I found the Walmart site and now 384 of the pictures (about half) are on it. emailed everybody a link but there is also one on this page now. Anyway, you can go to it, click on the pictures you want to print, and choose which walmart you want to pick them up from. I tried it myself and it was extremely easy and convenient. You can edit the photos and get all different sizes too. And it's really cheap.

Promoting Walmart... am I a terrible person? This photo thing has just made my life so much easier.

The event planning business is for an entrepreneurship class I'm taking. I have to write up proposals and business plans for a business that I may or may not actually do. Okanagan Occasions was a good name, but I had already sent in my propsal. I called it the Social Butterfly.

Speaking of which, I'd better get back to homework, the scourge of my current life.

Hey kids...just seeing how you are....havn't heard from you in awhile......still no real update on my mom.....she is still in the hospital, they are hoping that the barium is flushed thru her system by the end of this week and then she will be sent to vernon for a catscan, and back to salmon arm for an operation where they will remove 6 inches of her colon and fuse the two sides together....so then she'll still be in the hospital for 6-10 more days after that...my dad said thta they got her biopsy results back but couldn't determine anything cause of the barium covering it or somthing....so ya....thats bout all i know...still waiting...urrrggg....i hate waiting.......other than that, i was sick all weekend stomache flu...how was ur quick trip to van? rob's Great Grandma passed away this past weekend so he is off to Abbottsford today for a quick trip....he'll be back tomorrow nightish...aww....poor guy.......WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING FOR CANADA DAY???

are you thinking of doing that??? (you would take my dream job!!! :) I still really really want to take my event/wedding planning course. Hmmmm can't think of any names right now though.

Erin, thank God the doctor doesn't think it's cancer. I was under the impression that he thought it was. Keep us updated, we're hoping and praying for your mom.

Definately I'll burn some copies of the picture CD. I haven't ever done it before but it should be easy. I'll burn one for Erin and Sam; whoever else wants one just let me know.

We'll be in Vancouver this weekend just for friday night (at Sam's) and come back Saturday night. Matt and all his Magic friends are in a big tournament. Wish him luck!

Yesterday I went to Kamloops and bought my bridesmaid dress for Kirten's wedding. It's really cute.

Oh....update on my mom....she is in the salmon arm hospital had a minor surgury done on saturday......couldn't do the whole thing cause she has barium stuck inside her and they need that to come out....so they are waitin....she is in a LOT of pain, so they are keepign her there.....and once the barium comes out she can continue with the colonoscopy part probably next week sometime and she'll bein there for another 6-10 days.....:-( so we just hope for the best...the doc said he DOESN"T think that anything is cancerous but they still have to determine things for sure....so i'll keep u updated.......
