Funky Chicken

Thank you Kirsten, for that blog and then for sending me some ideas about music. I appreciate it; I really don't even listen to music and seriously have no idea what's out there. I can burn the cds myself, I just need to know what songs are danceable. If anyone else knows a song or two I'd be so thankful if you would tell me.

I called a lady and booked a cake, so that's off the list! I never met with her or saw her cakes but the florist said she was good. The thought of going from bakery to bakery by myself was too depressing. Anyway it's a white cake with real strawberries inside; hopefully it looks good.

Apparently nobody likes salmon (?!), so maybe we'll do chicken. Does everyone like chicken? If I get some positive feedback on that I'll call the caterer and finalize. What kind of sauce would we want (having not eaten chicken in 12 years I have no idea what goes on it)? If everyone hates the chicken idea we could do roast beef, and I'll have to have a separate meal made for me.

Hey Keira,

Chicken is probably the safest way to go.. if you were going to eat it too. As for sauces, teriaki or honey garlic glazes are always popular, or you could always do some kind of fruit sauce if your chef is knowlegable about them. Fruit sauces usually go well with almost any kind of meat.

I am going to give you a call... Bryce and I have an extensive collection of songs on CD's that we have put together for each other when we were having a long distance relationship, and I know that we are going to be using some of them for our wedding as well.. There is a large variety slow and danceable... so if you want I can bring them over and you can even just mark down some songs that you like and then I will put them all on one or two... cd's for you. Or you can borrow them. That way you can mix them with songs that you get from the others too.

As for location... I found a beautifull patio that would work for both rain or shine. I would definately consider it for my own wedding if I only had 30 people. I didn't call them, but if they will let you use if for just a ceremony, it would be worth checking in to... and then they have beautifull landscaping and gardens for photo's too.. www.quailsgate.com go to the virtual tour part and click on the third picture in at the bottom of the page to see a picture, or click on the arrow pointing to the orange/ brown area, above.

good luck. let me know if you need help.
